JioPhone scared Vodafone, said-business will be wasted
Vodafone, the country's second largest telecom company, believes that Reliance Geo's proposed geophone will reduce the business of companies, which are already under pressure.
Along with this, Vodafone has demanded a reduction in the various levy levied by the government so that the area gets some relief. The company has sent a letter to the Department of Telecommunications regarding this. It has been said that the new company has kept its services in an aggressive way, including offering a cost-free feature phone.
The company says that with this it is expected to reduce the business of existing companies. This letter has been sent to Telecom Commission member (Finance) Anuradha Mitra.
Reliance Jio recently announced to present 4G feature phones which could be booked with a security deposit of Rs 1500. This amount can be withdrawn by returning the phone after three years. The booking of this phone will start on August 24.
Simultaneously, the mobile application suite of telecom company Reliance Jio has become the second most downloaded app from MyJio Android platform. An official of the company said that the Myageo app has been downloaded more than 100 million times so far.
