The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki will soon launch a new entry-level hatchback car in the market. The company has started working on this new car. It is being told that this new hatchback car will be sold along with the Maruti Suzuki Alto.
The company's managing director and CEO Kenichi Ayukawa said that the company is currently reviewing the demand for the market and on this basis the new car will be prepared. He said that the demand for cars of A-segment is quite high in the Indian car market and the company is paying maximum attention to this segment.
Maruti Suzuki's entry level car Alto and WagonR are getting tough competition from Renault Kwid these days. According to the report in January 2016, sales of Maruti Suzuki's A-segment cars were down 4.3 per cent.
Although much information is not available about the specification of this new car but it is believed that the company will give crossover look and more ground clearance to the car to give competition to Renault Kwid. Significantly, the company is preparing to launch 15 new products in India by 2020.
