A day after Tamil Nadu government issues GO, TN Governor assents to 7.5% NEET quota Bill

After a 45-day delay, Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit has given his assent for a Bill that was passed in September, regarding provision of 7.5 per cent reservation for government school students in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) for medical college admissions. Interestingly, it was on Thursday that the Tamil Nadu government issued a Government Order (GO) to provide 7.5% reservation for the under-graduate medical courses under NEET, considering the delay from the Governor’s end.
