Narendra Modi `achieved` prime ministership; Manmohan Singh was offered, claims Pranab Mukherjee`s memoir

The late former President wrote this in his memoir while making a comparison of the two PMs with whom he had worked in the past. Mukherjee made these comments in his memoir "The Presidential Years, 2012-2017" which he wrote before his death last year. The book was released on Tuesday.
