Increase surveillance, conduct more RT-PCR tests: Centre tells states amid surge in COVID-19 cases

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), more than 74% of the active cases of the country are in Kerala and Maharashtra. In the last four weeks in Kerala, the average weekly COVID-19 confirmed cases have fluctuated between a high of 42,000 to a low of 34,800.
